In the calm, murky waters of the Arno River, a Great Cormorant glides with silent precision, its dark, sleek body cutting through the surface as it searches for its fish. Underwater, it twists and turns, agilely maneuvering its powerful body and outstretched wings to navigate the flow. Spotting the unmistakable whiskered face of a catfish hidden among the rocks, the cormorant lunges, stretching its long neck and snapping its beak shut around the slippery fish. With a strong kick of its webbed feet, it propels itself upward, emerging triumphantly from the river with the wriggling catfish clamped tightly in its bill. Playing with the fish on the surface the Cormorant attempts to swallow the fish whole with his companion watching!
